What the official footage shows
The October 2024 CitizenCon 2954 gameplay reveal is the long public look: a prologue, movement inside the ship, a turret fight, and a first Vanduul contact. Steam's highlight movie, added with the store page, is The Oath trailer, id 257447920. The 12 October 2026 weekly tells people to watch the trailer and wishlist the game.
The Star Citizen Wiki describes seamless space-to-ground combat, choices that affect the campaign, time between missions on the ship or in the hangar, difficulty settings, and character customization. Those are wiki summaries of published features, not a control list I tested myself.
What invited players wrote down
The Impound's 9 October report attributes shipboard exploration and scanning observations to Enderprize, and comments on a guided campaign to NackteElfe. These are secondary summaries of invited players, not tests performed by this site.
Its 12 October roundup reports both praise and reservations: BoredGamer liked the presentation but described bugs, a crash, and awkward early EVA. An invited preview does not establish final performance, balance, or a review score.
Questions I keep getting
Is there a Squadron 42 demo?
No public demo. Steam has no demo build. The Manchester session was invitation only.
Is the combat first person?
Official footage shows a cockpit and on-foot scenes. I am not claiming a toggle the store page does not list.
